Credit Union West Holds Branch Groundbreaking in Peoria December 10, 2004 (GLENDALE, Ariz.) – Freshly brewed coffee, a children’s play area, a four-lane drive thru, and high-tech convenience features are slated for the new branch of Credit Union West. The board and management gathered Thursday to witness the initial groundbreaking in Peoria, and the branch will be finished in June 2005. Then the unique vision of this member-owned credit union will become a reality. The groundbreaking event occurred on Thursday, December 9 at 3 p.m. for its Cactus Branch, located at the southwest corner of 67th Ave. and Cactus Rd. The new 5,600 square foot facility will feature an innovative design built by DEI, Inc. of Cincinnati. This branch will be the largest built, and is one of two that will open in 2005. The other branch, currently in development stages, will be built in Surprise. “We’re excited to expand our presence in the Peoria and Glendale area, not only to serve our existing membership, but to all residents of the West Valley Community who want a higher value relationship with their financial institutions,” said Steve Becker, President and CEO of Credit Union West. “Financial planning, education and information, in addition to competitive rates, are all crucial pieces you can count on Credit Union West to deliver that makes your life better.”
